A Disaster Recovery Plan aims to ensure that Information and Communications Technology services can continue to support, in the face of a contingency, the execution of business processes; ensuring that the services of the company are available to customers at any time.n In addition, it is a good tool to ensure investment in technology and information associated with business processes.
Our goal, in any of the related services, is to align the results of the Recovery Plan with the expectations of the different participants in the business decision-making, including customers, and that all the resources required to achieve this alignment are under a management and governance model.
Our experience in this process has led us to use different reference frameworks and international standards, we usually use what is defined by the Disaster Recovery Institute (DRII) and we manage according to ISO-22301, without forgetting the requirements of the ISO-27001 and the fundamentals of ISO-31000 and the alignment of technological resources required by ITILv3. For this combination of practices to be applied correctly we have internationally certified professionals, who, we guarantee, are an integral part of the consulting team.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can IT Recovery Plan be developed without having a Business Process Continuity Plan?
Yes, it can be developed. Ideally, both plans should be developed jointly to take advantage of the synergies that occur in the development of the respective consulting.
Is the end result of a Recovery Plan always having to implement an Alternate Data Center?
The recovery strategy will depend on the consulting process where a combination of business process requirements and the very nature of the business will establish the scenarios for which a contingent response should be implemented. Not in all cases will it be needed to have an alternate site. Everything must respond to a Cost/Benefit/Risk ratio.
